The emergency stop button can cut off the power supply, so that the equipment can stop running immediately. Generally ,it is a red round button or red mushroom head type ,but sometimes yellow color. For escalators, the emergency stop buttons are installed at the upper and lower entrances and exits, or the steering end of the handrail. When the escalator length exceeds 30m, it may appear at the escalator middle part.
It is generally installed at the pit tension chain position. When the chain is excessively loose or broken, the device can stop the equipment running.
- Step Or PedalsMissing Protection Device
When steps or pedals are detected to be lost, this device can stop the equipment in time to prevent passengers from falling into the gap.
- Comb Plate Protection Device
Once anything get stuck into the comb plate, the protection device will stop the equipment.
- Skirt ProtectionDevice
It is designed to reduce the risk of trapping objects between the steps and the escalator side
- Handrail Entrance ProtectionDevice
The handrail entrance protection device is installed at the handrail entrance. When a passenger’s hand or finger is clamped into it, the device will stop the equipment.
- Handrail Speed Measuring ProtectionDevice
When the handrail speed is significantly lower than the steps or pedals, the device will stop the equipment and prevent passengers from falling.
