Nice3000 Error Code E20 & PG Card

Fault phenomenon observed at the customer site: The main unit vibrated and triggered error E20 with subcode 03. Attempting to switch UVW had no effect, but after modifying the F3 parameter, the vibration stopped.

Customer’s question: Can the MCTC-PG-A2 be used on a synchronous elevator motor?

First of all, the MCTC-PG-A2 cannot be used on a synchronous machine, because the PG card for a asynchronous machine cannot be used on an synchronous machine.

The MCTC-PG-E is used for synchronous machines.

Another question: Can the MCTC-PG-E together with the ERN1387 encoder replace the encoder and A2 PG card shown below?

This issue is not related to the main unit. The MCTC-PG-A2 card definitely cannot be matched with this traction machine.

Whether the encoder can be replaced depends on the installation method of the encoder shown below. Based on the encoder’s pictures and specifications, the two encoders cannot be interchanged.
